Facebook Users Left Confused, Blast Site For Changes
BOSTON (CBS) - Many of Facebook's 750 million users have been blasting the social media site for pulling the rug of familiarity out from underneath them.
"I'm confused," one Northeastern student told WBZ. "I don't exactly know what to do with it."
David Getzin of "Tech Superpowers" believes the changes make evolutionary sense -- even if they seem inconvenient at first.
Getzin says, "People are going to find this perhaps jarring, but this is intended to adapt to the way people have ended up using Facebook."

Your friend list accents status updates and photos from the folks you interact with most often. And the news feed now sorts by relevance to your past interests -- and time between Facebook visits.
"It's going to conform to your changes, you have control over this," Getzin says of the website.
A new ticker on the top right of the screen shows what your friends are doing in real time, and lets you jump in.
Most users on Facebook's blog aren't too kind, describing the changes as "lame," "total garbage," and "a huge step backward."
Facebook argues it is now, "more interesting," "more immediate," and more like your "own personal newspaper."
Perhaps it's no coincidence that these changes come just as relatively new competitor Google Plus is opening-up access to everyone.
