Evergreen Solar's Future In Mass. Questioned
BOSTON (CBS) - The future of Evergreen Solar's presence in Massachusetts is coming into question.
The company employs nearly 1,000 people in the state. In 2007, they received $40 in state financing to help build a manufacturing plant in Devens. Under that deal, they need to keep several hundred jobs in state for the next few years.
A new Evergreen manufacturing plant that just opened in China is raising questions about their future beyond that timeline.
