Esiason: Nobody Makes Adjustments Better Than The New England Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) - Boomer Esiason of WFAN and CBS Sports joined the Toucher & Rich show Monday morning, as he does every Monday morning during the NFL season, to discuss the Patriots win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Texans defensive end Antonio Smith made some comments after the game insinuating that the Patriots were cheating based on how well they adjusted in the second half.

However, Boomer Esiason just feels like the Patriots do adjustments better than anyone and that's why there was such a stark difference between the two halves.
"I would be frustrated too if I were a Texans player. You've lost ten in a row, you're playing against New England and seem like you have them bottled up and all of a sudden things change."
"The one thing I've always said about the Patriots, and this is post-Spygate scandal as well, is that they probably scout their opponents as well as anybody in the NFL and are as good as anybody in the NFL to making adjustments within the game."
"That is a credit to the coaching staff and that is a credit to people you never hear about," said Esiason. "Nobody does it [in-game adjustments] better than the Patriots. It's one of the reasons they've been so successful over the years."

Aside from the in-game adjustments, another reason the Patriots were able to come away with the 34-31 win was because of the stellar play of quarterback Tom Brady, who Esiason thinks is playing "as well as ever."
The conversation then shifted towards other NFL-related topics, including what transpired during the Ravens - Steelers game on Thursday night.
Ravens returner Jacoby Jones was breaking away for what looked like would be a sure touchdown, however he was slowed down on the kickoff return by Steelers coach Mike Tomlin who nearly drifted onto the field of play. Reports are out there claiming the Steelers could be docked as much as $250,000 and a loss of a draft pick.
Esiason believes that the reported punishment is not too harsh and thinks that that sort of thing is unacceptable, especially from a head coach.
