Emerging Sunshine

A frontal boundary is slow to move east as it is 'pushing' the remnants of Beryl toward the northeast.

Sunshine is currently emerging from the clouds and fog.  The sunshine will take longer to appear near Cape Cod and the Islands, which should occur by midday.  Highs will reach the 78-84F inland while coastal communities will cool down this afternoon due to a seabreeze.  Cape Cod and the Islands will be in the middle 60s to lower 70s.

Friday will be a gorgeous way for June '12 to make its debut. It's also the beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season '12.  It will be a sunny day with clouds filling-in as the afternoon turns into the evening. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s inland with the coast remaining cooler in the 65-70F range because of an onshore wind.

The first weekend of June doesn't look nearly as 'perfect' as the past few weekends in May.  Saturday will be a cloudy day, and rain will be scattered as a cold/occluded front slowly sweeps across Southern New England. Highs will be on the cool side as we only climb into the middle and upper 60s. Sunday will be a little warmer as winds become more westerly.  The day will begin with sunshine, but clouds will build during the afternoon and will produce a few showers/thunder.

An upper level low/trough will dominate our weather pattern through the middle part of next week, which will mean lots of clouds and a few showers (especailly during the afternoon hours). Onshore winds will provide much cooler high temps as well.

Happy One Alarm Clock Away from the weekend...and last day of May!

~Melissa :)
