Ellsbury Takes Out Full-Page Ad In Globe Thanking Red Sox Fans
BOSTON (CBS) - Jacoby Ellsbury will be formally introduced by the New York Yankees on Friday, but he wants to let Red Sox Nation know he is grateful for the seven years he spent in Boston.
Ellsbury took out a full-page ad in Friday's Boston Globe, which read:
Red Sox Nation,
Two World Championships and seven years of great memories.
To the fans of New England, teammates and the many friendships made.
Thank you!

Ellsbury became a free agent this season after winning his second World Series with Boston. He signed a seven-year, $153 million deal with New York, ending his seven-year run as Boston's center fielder.
The Yankees will officially introduce their new outfielder at 11 a.m. Friday morning.
