Ellsbury Returns To Lineup For Red Sox
BOSTON (CBS) - Center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is back in the lineup for the Red Sox Tuesday night for game two of a four game set with the Rangers in Texas.
Ellsbury had missed the last three games after suffering a contusion in his back after being hit by a pitch Friday against the Royals.
Ellsbury will be back at the top of the lineup, with short stop Marco Scutaro sliding into the two-hole. The Red Sox center fielder has been a key component to Boston's lineup, batting .313 with 22 home runs, 79 RBI and 89 runs scored.
Designated hitter David Ortiz is still sidelined with bursitis in his right heel. The team is hopeful that Ortiz can return over the next two days.
On the hill for the Sox, John Lackey (11-9, 6.02 ERA) looks to bounce back after suffering his first loss in eight starts last week at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays. He is opposed by Texas righty Colby Lewis (11-8, 3.83 ERA).
