Elizabeth Warren Heard Brown Supporters 'Loud And Clear'
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Newly elected Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she'll go to Washington believing there is a "lot of room for compromise" on the most pressing issue facing Congress: What to do about the deficit and the impending fiscal crisis.

Warren, a Democrat and leading consumer advocate, told NBC's "Today" that Congress can find a middle ground to bring down the deficit by cutting spending while raising revenues.
In a separate interview on "CBS This Morning," Warren said those who voted for her opponent, Republican Sen. Scott Brown, sent a message that people want lawmakers to work together. She says: "I heard that loud and clear."
Warren defeated Brown, who scored a dramatic victory in strongly Democratic Massachusetts in 2010 by capturing the seat held by the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

Warren thanked voters for her victory Wednesday morning at the very same place her run for office began.
She greeted commuters outside the Broadway MBTA station in South Boston. The subway stop is the first location she visited when she launched her campaign in September 2011.
