Elderly Woman Robbed While Watching Red Sox Game In Bed
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Police in Manchester, N.H., say a man walked into an 89-year-old woman's bedroom and took her jewelry box while she was in bed watching a Red Sox game.
The woman told police the man tried to conceal his face Monday night by pulling a dark-colored sweatshirt over his face as he removed the wooden box from her dresser. He didn't say anything to her but reportedly appeared to be speaking to a second person just outside of the bedroom door, although the woman just saw one person. The man then fled.
Police said it appears the suspect or suspects accessed the home through a front window by pushing in an air conditioning unit.
Police are investigating.
