GoFundMe Page Set Up For Man Killed In Shuttle Crash And His Injured Wife

EAST BOSTON (CBS) -- A GoFundMe page has been set up for a man killed in a Wednesday shuttle bus crash in East Boston and his injured wife.

Joseph Rodriguez, 57, of El Paso, Texas, was killed when a car rear-ended the airport shuttle bus he and his wife were on Route 1A north, just past the Ted Williams Tunnel. The crash also killed 47-year-old Sandra Arreola, also of El Paso.

Rodriguez's wife was injured in the crash, and is being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The GoFundMe page set up by a family member says Irma Rodriguez suffered three cracked ribs, a bruised lung, and several cuts and bruises. She is expected to recover.

The family said the couple had just arrived in Boston for a nine-day vacation Wednesday.

They say any donations will be used for medical expenses and to bring Rodriguez's body home to El Paso.

As of Thursday morning, the page had raised $800 of the family's $5,000 goal.
