Dunkin' Donuts Is Testing Curbside Pickup Service

NATICK (CBS) – It's not a drive-thru, but Dunkin' Donuts is testing out another way for people to get their coffee without having to leave their car.

On Monday, Dunkin' started offering curbside pickup at their East Central Street location in Natick.

It's a free service available only to "DD Perks' members who pay ahead of time and have their orders brought out to them in the parking lot. The test will continue at the Natick location through the end of the year.

"Instead of going into the store to pick up their order guests can now choose to have a crewmember deliver their order directly to their car," Dunkin' said in a statement.

Dunkin' could expand the service to other locations if the test is successful.

This comes after reports that rival coffee chain Starbucks has also started experimenting with its own curbside pickup.
