Dropkick Murphys, Bruce Springsteen Team Up To Benefit Bombing Victims
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Irish rock band the Dropkick Murphys has teamed up with Bruce Springsteen on a song that will help benefit the Boston Marathon bombing victims.
They've re-recorded the Dropkicks song "Rose Tattoo."
That song on iTunes and a new t-shirt for sale on the Dropkicks' website has raised close to $100,000 already.

The money will be disbursed directly to bombing victims through The Claddagh Fund, which was set up by Dropkick Murphys.
Dropkick guitarist James Lynch says Springsteen actually called them the day of the bombing and asked what he could do to help.
Springsteen does have ties to the area, having played at the dedication of the Zakim Bridge in 2002.
His son Evan graduated from Boston College and Springsteen has also performed with the Dropkick Murphys several times over the years.
