Boston police say a silver Audi hit the Ryan Rodriguez near his home on Batchelder Street before 3 p.m. on Saturday. He was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car has a black grill and license plate 4NDY90.

The boy's father, Manuel, said Ryan received eight stitches to hit head, but will be OK.

Ryan was on his way to the Big Apple Circus when the car struck him, Manuel said.. He said the driver initially stopped and started arguing with the family, but took off when police arrived.

Manuel calls it a "horrible experience," and says he's incredibly grateful because his son could have been killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
