Driver Pulled From Sinking Car In Plymouth
PLYMOUTH (CBS) – A man rushed to save the driver of a car that crashed into a pond Monday morning.
King Rudolph says he didn't have time to think. He was working at Cordage Park in Plymouth when a car suddenly careened into Mill Pond, and a man was trapped inside.
The Saab sedan appeared to go out of control in the busy parking lot, miraculously missing people, but hitting several other cars before plunging into the pond.
"I jumped right in, pulled the car a little bit closer to safety so I could get to him," Rudolph told WBZ-TV. "Once I opened the door the water just flooded in and I grabbed him and got him out as quick as I could."
Rudolph says the man was conscious and alert after the crash.
It is unclear what caused the car to go out of control.
