2 Drivers Killed In 4-Vehicle Crash In Marlboro
MARLBORO (CBS) – Two drivers were killed in a violent four-vehicle crash Friday morning.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. at the Route 85 connector near Route 495, near the Hudson line.
State police said there was a head-on collision involving two cars.
One driver, an adult male, died at the scene, State Police spokesman Dave Procopio told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. That man was identified Friday afternoon as 34-year-old Adam Richard of Hudson. Police said Richard was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The driver of a second car, a 60-year-old man from Oxford, was rushed to Marlboro Hospital where he died. His identity has not been released.
A third car and a van were also involved in the crash. Those drivers were not hurt.

State police say that Adam Richard was driving west on Route 85 when he crossed into oncoming traffic. It is unclear at this time what caused him to veer from his side of the road.
The Route 85 connector and the ramps from 495 north and 290 east onto Route 85 were closed for nearly three hours after the accident.
