Drew Brees Attends Red Sox Game, Calls Fenway Park 'Best Venue In Sports'
BOSTON (CBS) -- Drew Brees is really doing all he can to fit in with the locals.
In town this week for a pair of joint practices and a preseason game against the Patriots, Brees warmed himself to Boston sports fans on Tuesday by saying Tom Brady just might be the best quarterback to ever play football. And on Wednesday afternoon after practice, Brees took in a Red Sox game and shared his love of Boston's 100-year-old ballpark.
"Catchin a Sox game at the best venue in sports ... Fenway Park," Brees tweeted.
He apparently brought some friends, too.
"Big SHOUTOUT to @drewbrees for setting us up at Fenway Park," punter Thomas Morstead tweeted. "It's a BEAUTIFUL day for baseball."
The Texas-born Brees was even sporting a Red Sox hat rather than the cap of the Rangers. Don't look too much into that, though, as Brees wore a Yankees cap when throwing out a ceremonial first pitch in New York in 2010.
