DOVER (CBS) – Police in Dover are investigating a crash where the victim apparently remained stuck in his car for several hours Thursday morning.

Police also noticed that the engine was cold, and there was frost on the inside of the windows, indicating the car could have been there for hours.

Paganelli was hypothermic and trapped in the car. He was rushed by Med Flight rescue helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital.  His condition is not known.

A police crusier was on the dead end street around 1:30 a.m. and the officer did not see anything unusual.

Investigators believe the crash happened sometime between that time and 6:50 a.m. A neighbor reported hearing a loud noise overnight, but the time is still unclear.

Ed Hickey lives in the area and said it's very possible the SUV was there for hours.

"That could happen, because there's very little traffic here, except the people who live here.  You live out here in the woods, you never know," he told WBZ-TV.  "There's a little bit of a risk not having neighbors nearby."

Neighbors also told WBZ-TV that Paganelli was home from college for the holidays.  His house is a short distance from the crash site.  His father Paul is a prominent local doctor.
