Dougie Hamilton: You Can Call Me Doug, Dougie Or Even Douglas If You Want
BOSTON (CBS) - Torey Krug was unable to make his regularly scheduled appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh & Zolak show because of his broken finger, so filling in on Friday was fellow defenseman Dougie Hamilton.
With Zdeno Chara, Kevan Miller and now Torey Krug all sidelined with injury, the Bruins have had to incorporate many new faces to the blue line in recent weeks, including Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky and Joe Morrow.
Hamilton talked about that, but what was really on Andy Gresh's mind was something that he's been curious about for a long time.
Gresh asks, "Do you prefer Doug or Dougie? If you don't mind me asking. Because we've always struggled with at what point do you drop what sounds like the fourth grade name and go with the adult name?"
"Personally it doesn't matter. I think you can call me Douglas if you want," Hamilton responded.
Douglas seems too proper, like something your mom would say if she's really mad. But if he says it's okay then it's okay.
Oh, and one last message from Dougie (Doug? Douglas?) Hamilton:
