Double Stabbing Suspect Held On $50,000 Bail
WAREHAM (AP) -- Prosecution and defense lawyers say two men fatally stabbed in a Wareham motel fight had gone there to rob the man charged with manslaughter in their deaths.
An attorney for 20-year-old Richard Walling of Wareham said at his client's arraignment Monday it's a "clear example of self defense."

The Standard-Times of New Bedford reports the judge revoked Walling's bail on an earlier assault charge, and set bail on the new case at $50,000.
Attorneys say two men wore ski masks and had a replica pellet gun when they broke into Walling's room around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Another hotel resident saw the fight and hit one of the would-be robbers with a fire extinguisher.
Police said they found 35-year-old Leonard Bolia outside, suffering from multiple stab wounds, and found the body of 24-year-old Ryan Aponte in nearby woods.
