Family Of Motorcyclists Shot On I-93 Demand Justice
BOSTON (CBS) – A man accused of shooting a father and son on I-93 South in Dorchester then fatally shooting a friend has been ordered held without bail.
Lance Holloman, 30, was not visible in court on Wednesday during his arraignment. But family members were in the courtroom, wanting to face him as they seek justice.
"Whatever kind of justice a murderer gets," said relative Phil Stevens.
In September, prosecutors say Holloman was driving a red Jeep that rammed an SUV on the Expressway. He then is accused of pulling up next to Scott Stevens and his son, 32-year-old Scott M. Stevens, and shot them.
The elder Stevens was shot in the back and survived. But his son was shot in the head and died from his injuries.
"They were riding along, he looked back in the mirror and his son was down. That's when he got shot," said Rudolph Tapia, Stevens' stepfather.
Police say Holloman was in the Jeep with his friend, 24-year-old Michaela Gingras, at the time of the shootings. Investigators believe he then murdered her inside her Dorchester apartment.
Holloman is a career criminal with a lengthy record including a federal drug conviction for which he was released early following the state lab scandal.
A judge ordered Holloman ordered held without bail on two counts of murder. He is next scheduled to appear in court on November 15.
"It's as difficult as you can imagine," said Phil Stevens, referring to the weeks since Scott, Jr. was shot and killed.
