Dont'a Hightower Likely Out Vs. Dolphins After Missing Practice Again On Friday
BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots players who don't practice all week almost never end up playing on Sunday, and so it's safe to expect Dont'a Hightower to be a spectator vs. the Dolphins.
The linebacker missed practice on Friday, his third straight absence, per Mike Reiss and Jeff Howe. The absence makes him unofficially out for the game hours before the release of the official injury report.
Hightower, 26, suffered a knee injury during the Patriots' season opener last weekend in Arizona. He recorded just one tackle in the 23-21 victory, though he missed just three snaps due to the injury.
The Patriots host the Dolphins Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gillette Stadium, for the first of three straight home games.
