Keller @ Large: Donald Trump Stalling After GOP Debate?
BOSTON (CBS) -- Donald Trump has risen to the top of the polls for the Republican nomination, but the latest presidential debate may have tripped him up.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Joe Mathieu and Politico's Lauren Dezenski appeared on Sunday's Keller @ Large to talk about some of Trump's new trouble spots, especially when it comes to his views on vaccines and autism.
"The harsh glare of the spotlight on Donald Trump is really revealing a lack of authenticity, which is really the primary rallying cry for much of his supporters," Dezenski said. "I think his time is limited."
Meanwhile, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is skyrocketing in the polls, but Mathieu wonders what will happen once voters start digging into her background.
"New Hampshire is fertile ground, I actually predict that her numbers are going to go up," he said. "But when we start drilling down on the layoffs and what happened with HP. . . all that's going to come up soon."
Dezenski and Mathieu also discussed Trump's remarks about Muslims, and the political "bromance" between Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Gov. Charlie Baker.
