Report: Dolphins Player Served Subpoena Linked To Hernandez Probe
FOXBORO (CBS) -- It turns out football fans weren't the only ones interested in Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.
The Massachusetts State Police were apparently anxious to see Dolphins center Mike Pouncey.
After the game was over, Sports Illustrated took a photo of the state police serving Pouncey with a subpoena outside the visitors' locker room.
The magazine reports troopers told Pouncey: "It's about a grand jury investigation ... make sure you arrive."
SI is reporting the subpoena is related to the Aaron Hernandez murder case investigation.
Pouncey is a close friend of Hernandez and the pair were teammates at the University of Florida.
Hernandez, a former star tight end with the Patriots, has pleaded not guilty to murder in the killing of Odin Lloyd.
The Dorchester man was shot to death earlier this year.
There has been no comment from Pouncey or the Dolphins.
