Doc Won't Stir Pot On KG's 'Fair-Weathered' Fans Comment

BOSTON (CBS) - If anyone is looking to toss more fuel on the fire Kevin Garnett started with his 'Fair-Weathered' fans comment about Philadelphia, don't count on Celtics head coach Doc Rivers to provide it.

"I have no reaction to that. I'll let you guys stir that pot," Rivers told a Philadelphia reporter Wednesday morning. "Have at it. Have fun with it."

Preview: Celtics-Pacers Game 6

"I don't think either fan base likes each other any way, so I don't think it added anything," added Rivers. "Someone asked me that (Tuesday) and I said, 'What are they going to do, hate us more?' So, what's the difference?"

Following Monday's 101-85 Game 5 win at the TD Garden, Garnett was asked to compare the Boston and Philadelphia fans.

"Not even close," Garnett said. "You've got fans and then you've got fair-weather fans. Take it how you want it."

The Celtics have a chance to end the series with a win Wednesday night, in front of those very Philadelphia fans.
