Did Isaiah Thomas Take A Shot At Kevin Durant On Twitter?
BOSTON (CBS) -- All-star Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was not shy about his efforts to recruit Kevin Durant to Boston.
Back when the Thunder were eliminated in a Game 7 loss to Golden State in the Western Conference Finals, Thomas sent out a loud-and-clear message to Durant that the door was open. It was an effort that lasted all the way through the weekend, when I.T. attended the pitch meeting with Durant in the Hamptons.
Thomas was clearly a huge Durant fan. Yet now that Durant has said "thanks but no thanks" to the Celtics and has chosen instead to join the Golden State Warriors, has the admiration gone cold?
Shortly after the news broke on Monday, Thomas summed up his reaction by referencing the famed "Damn, Daniel!" meme (which doesn't really have a meaning).
Then, Isaiah sent a message that said anyone who plays with the Warriors in the NBA 2K17 is "weak."
So, if anyone who chooses the virtual Warriors is weak, then doesn't it stand to reason that Isaiah believes that anyone who chooses the real-life Warriors is weak, too?
It's a question for the ages.
