Did Clippers Reenact Paul Pierce's Stabbing During Pregame Introductions?
By Michael Hurley, CBS Boston
BOSTON (CBS) -- Legendary Celtics forward Paul Pierce returned to Boston on Wednesday night in what will very likely be his last business trip to the city he called home for 15 years.
And his teammates commemorated the occasion by ... pretending to stab him?
Really?
That's at least the word going around the Internet on Thursday morning.
"Hold Up, Did the Clippers Really Reenact the Time Paul Pierce Got Stabbed Before a Game in Boston?" Complex asked.
"Wait, Did The Clippers Pretend To Stab Paul Pierce A Bunch Of Times?" Deadspin echoed.
"The Clippers Appeared To Re-Enact The Paul Pierce Stabbing In His Return To Boston," Uproxx stated.

Here's the video of the introduction, which might have looked quite normal at the time it happened.
So, what do you think? Was this a reenactment of the time that Pierce was stabbed 11 times and almost died? And is that messed up? Or was it just some playful roughhousing?
Now watch the story of Pierce's recovery. It's only fair.
And now watch the video of Pierce's first return to Boston, because it was nice.
When Pierce returns to Boston to have his number retired, he'll probably just get an ovation.
