Design Your Own Custom Shoes Online
BOSTON (CBS) - In fashion, shoes can often make or break the outfit. But sometimes, finding just the right pair can be tough.
Or, it was tough.
The latest trend in shoes let's you be the designer! Whether you love sky-high stilettos, flats, booties or sandals, now you can have any color, any toe and any heel you want.
There are several new websites that let you sit at home and create custom shoe designs.

Dorian Howard is the CEO one of those sites, Milk and Honey. She said the company was born out of her own frustration in finding the right shoe.

"You would either find it in the right shade, but the wrong heel height or it's too dark and you wanted pointed toe not round toe," she said. "That's how we came up with the idea."
Custom shoe websites are generally easy to navigate. Simply click on a swatch of colors to choose the material, color and even texture of the shoe. You can also choose the heel height and size. Then it's on to embellishments like trim, cutouts and bows. The results appear on the screen instantly.
Prices start at about $200 and can go higher depending on the choices you make. It can take about six weeks for the shoes to be delivered, but customers said it's worth the wait.
"It's probably the most addictive form of internet shopping you can do because you can make up any shoe you dream of," explained one satisfied customer.
Experts say the technology will eventually get more efficient, making customizable shoes more affordable in the future.
