Del Rio: Welker 'Definitely Will Go' vs. Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) - For those concerned that Wes Welker would not be suiting up for the Denver Broncos on Sunday in New England, Jack Del Rio has put those worries to bed.
"If you had the 'definitely will go' category, he'd probably be on there," Del Rio said of Welker's status on Friday.
Welker suffered a concussion last Sunday in Denver's win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and had to sit out Wednesday's practice. He was limited on Thursday, as per league rules, but was a full participant on Friday after clearing all of the tests in the league's concussion protocol.
He was officially listed as "probable" on Denver's injury report.
Brady vs. Manning: A Trip Down Memory Lane
Welker, of course, is returning to New England for the first time since signing with Denver over the off-season. He spent six seasons catching passes from Tom Brady at a record clip, and is certainly looking forward to visiting his old team.
"I'm definitely excited," Welker said Thursday. "It's a big game and a big matchup. It's a great environment and everything else; I'm really looking forward to it."

In his first season with Peyton Manning, Welker has 61 receptions (tops on Denver) for 648 yards and nine touchdowns.
