Timeline Of The DeflateGate Saga

BOSTON (CBS) – The "DeflateGate" saga began on January 18, 2015 during the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium. That is when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was first accused of deflating footballs.

Timeline:

Jan. 18, 2015: AFC Championship – Patriots defeat Colts 45-7

Jan. 21, 2015: ESPN reports Patriots' balls were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch.

Jan. 22, 2015: Tom Brady addresses allegations, says "I didn't alter the ball in any way."

Jan. 24, 2015: Head coach Bill Belichick says Patriots "followed every rule to the letter" and references 'My Cousin Vinny.'

Jan. 26, 2015: Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he expects apology from NFL after week of accusations.

Feb. 1, 2015: Patriots beat Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX, Tom Brady named MVP.

May 6, 2015: Wells Report released

May 11, 2015: Tom Brady suspended for 4 games, Patriots fined $1 million and docked draft picks.

May 19, 2015: Kraft says Patriots will "reluctantly" accept NFL's discipline.

July 29, 2015: Tom Brady asks federal judge in Minnesota to overturn his four-game suspension

Sept 3, 2015: Judge Berman overturns Brady's suspension

Sept. 25, 2015: NFL files for expedited proceedings on Brady DeflateGate appeal.

April 25, 2016: Appeals court overturns Judge Berman's ruling; reinstates Brady's suspension
