DeflateGate Scandal Could Harm Tom Brady's Image
BOSTON (CBS) - Tom Brady is more than just a quarterback. He's a family man. He's involved in charities. He's the face of several luxury brands. Tom Brady is, himself, a brand.
"It's just amazing to me that they're going so out of their way in such a minor thing to try and destroy Tom Brady," said Charley Manning.

"It has probably been the most botched PR job by a major entity that I've seen in this country. This has gone on seven months," said Manning.
But what about Brady's PR team? His agent Don Yee didn't mince words when he fired back at the NFL Tuesday.
"You don't need to be that way. When you represent someone like Tom Brady who's a mild-mannered, intelligent, good guy, that's how you want to portray him in your quotes," said Manning.
So how will this good guy fair moving forward?
Manning says you can try and tarnish his reputation, but you can't touch his legacy.
"You can't take away from him what's he's accomplished as a great athlete and you can't take away really the years of exemplary personal lifestyle that he's had…. I think here in New England, we'll always love Tom Brady. I don't know if you can change it in the rest of the country," said Manning.
