SUV Hit By Debris Falling From Route 3A Overpass In Chelmsford
CHELMSFORD (CBS) – Several pieces of debris fell from the Route 3A overpass on Interstate 495 and smashed an SUV's windshield Tuesday afternoon.
No one was hurt, but two lanes of the highway were closed as a precaution.
After examining the bridge, inspectors decided to remove additional flaking pieces from the overpass, according to a MassDOT spokesman.
The debris included green paint coating from a rusted beam, according to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz.
