Dead Ringer For Bruins Winger Brad Marchand Works At Watertown Gym
WATERTOWN (CBS) - Bruins players are the toast of the town, but would you know one if you saw him?
One guy works at a local gym. The other is Bruins star Brad Marchand. If you're having trouble telling them apart, you're not alone.
Marchand's lookalike, who works at Boston Sports Club in Watertown, is turning heads too.
"Usually it starts with a double take. They're like, whoa," said Nate Brosey. "Then it's like, 'You look like Brad Marchand.'"
Marchand and his Bruins aren't the only ones whose lives have changed during this wild playoff ride.
"I'm getting recognized on the street for something I didn't do. I'm getting cheers from cars," said Brosey. "I guess it's kind of fun, being a local doppleganager celebrity, so to speak. It gets me beers at the bar."
Brosey just shaved his playoff beard, but wouldn't mind if his new celebrity status sticks around.
"I just said congrats, but I thought it was Marchand," said one gym-goer. "So, either way, congrats to Marchand and the Bruins, and the guy who looks kinda like him."
Nate hopes his lookalike status will help attract new members at the gym.
