DCR's Park Passport Program Expands
BOSTON (CBS) -- Getting a passport can lead to travels far and wide, and that's just what the Department of Conservation and Recreation is hoping as it expands its park passport program.
Now in its fourth year, the free passport program has added downloadable passports so visitors can log their trips.
There are more than 75 parks across the state in the program, and families can collect stamps at each of them. In addition to being able to collect stamps in the passport, there are tips for hiking, a guide to animal prints, and information about each region.
Each park has an individual stamp design which is housed in a bird house-like box at the parks. People who visit every park in a region earn a t-shirt from DCR.
You can download your own passport on DCR's website.
