DCF Investigating After Baby Found Unresponsive In Brockton Home
BROCKTON (CBS) – A four-month-old Brockton girl is in critical condition at Children's Hospital after police say her mother apparently fell asleep on top of her.
The baby's father called 911 when he came home and found the baby lifeless on Sunday afternoon.
A neighbor, Diane Doyle, performed CPR until help arrived.
"She wasn't breathing, she was sort of gray," Doyle said. "I took her, laid her on the couch and started breathing into her mouth."
The infant did not respond so Doyle tried chest compressions until EMTs arrived and rushed the baby to the hospital.
The Department of Children and Families is investigating the incident.
