David Pastrnak Out For Bruins Against Minnesota
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Bruins will be without their leading goal scorer on Thursday night. Winger David Pastrnak will sit out as the B's take on the Minnesota Wild, head coach Claude Julien announced after Thursday's optional morning skate at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn.
Pastrnak is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Julien said. Riley Nash skated in Pastrnak's place during Wednesday's practice, according to Caryn Switaj of BostonBruins.com, making him the likely fill-in winger on the Bruins' top line with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Dominic Moore took Nash's place at center on the third line, while Sean Kuraly is likely to slide into the right wing spot on the fourth line.
Pastrnak is second in the NHL with 10 goals on the season.
Goaltender Tuukka Rask also missed Wednesday's practice, but Julien said it was just a maintenance day. Anton Khudobin has been practicing with the team and is "getting closer to a return" from an upper-body injury, according to Switaj.
In other Bruins injury news, defenseman Kevan Miller skated with the team during Wednesday's practice as he works back from a fractured hand, but is still not ready for game action, according to Julien.
