Dapper robber strikes 2 Fairhaven locations
Fairhaven police say a well-dressed thief who robbed a gas station over the weekend may have been the same man who struck a vitamin store last week.
Police say the physical descriptions of both suspects, and the way each robbery was carried out, are virtually the same. In both cases, the robber was remarkably well attired.
The thief who robbed a GNC store wore a yellow shirt and light-colored slacks, while the man who robbed the gas station on Sunday had on a green dress shirt and black slacks.
Sgt. Kevin Kobza told The Standard Times it's unusual for a robber to wear his "Sunday best."
In both robberies, a lone female employee was ordered into a rear room before the suspect left. No weapon was shown in either case.
