Prosecutors say Hudon kidnapped the 42-year-old woman from her home Sunday morning and told her they were "going to heaven to meet God."
Authorities say the woman escaped at a service plaza in Westboro by kicking out a window of the suspect's vehicle because he had removed the door handles. She borrowed a cell phone to call police.
He was later apprehended in Charlton.
Hudon's lawyer says he has a minimal criminal record.
