Danny Woodhead Agrees To 2-Year Deal With San Diego Chargers
BOSTON (CBS) - Danny Woodhead's days in a Patriots uniform are over.
The San Diego Chargers signed Woodhead to a two-year deal, the team announced on Friday.

Woodhead spent the last three seasons in New England after being released by the Jets during the 2010 season. The 5-8 back rushed for 10 touchdowns and caught four more while with the Patriots, and instantly became a fan favorite after running for a 22-yard touchdown in his first game with New England -- a 38-30 win over the Bills in Buffalo.
Woodhead would score five of his rushing touchdowns that first season with the Patriots. He served a much bigger role as New England's third down back in 2012, and ended the season with a career-high 40 receptions for 446 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

The Patriots added kick returner/running back Leon Washington on Thursday to go with their backfield of Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden.
