Daniel Paille Previews Canadiens Matchup On The Adam Jones Show
BOSTON (CBS) - Forward Daniel Paille joined The Adam Jones Show on Tuesday night to cover all things Bruins, starting with their matchup Thursday night against their arch rival Montreal Canadiens.
It's one of the most storied and heated rivalries in all of sports, and a new chapter will be written later this week.
To win, Paille stressed the importance of silencing the "loud crowd" up at the Bell Centre and to play smart, especially in the first ten minutes of the game because it'll carry the pace throughout.
"They [Canadiens] come out hard at home. We just have to be patient and not get ahead of ourselves and focus on the moment," said Paille.
Kalman: Bruins Ready To Be Road Warriors In December
The Bruins are almost at the 30 game mark of the season and currently sit at first place in the Atlantic Division. However, they face a brutal December schedule that features just five home games so points will come at a premium.
Paille talked a little bit about how the conference realignment instituted before the season makes it even more difficult to make the playoffs.
"On the Eastern Conference side we have sixteen teams and on the Western Conference there's fourteen teams so it makes it even that much more challenging to clinch a playoff spot, especially getting into the top three," said Paille.
"Add Detroit into the mix and it makes it extremely hard. For us, it's been an adjustment. We've been doing fairly well so far so we have to keep that up."
