Dangerous Cold Puts Boston's Homeless At Risk
BOSTON (CBS) -- Brutally cold weather is forecast for Wednesday night in Boston, and that is increasing the concern for people who live on the streets.
With Tuesday night's cold weather, there were about 100 people sleeping on cots in the lobby and dining area of the Pine Street Inn, and it's going to get even colder on Wednesday night. Wind chills are expected to make the temperature feel like nearly -20 degrees in Boston.
"Being out on the street tonight with this cold obviously could be fatal," Pine Street Inn spokeswoman Barbara Trevisan told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

A man named Angelo, who is homeless, said he is very concerned about the cold.
"I do worry, especially myself because I'm homeless and I don't know if I'm going to die or not in this type of weather," he said.
Pine Street Inn will have outreach teams out throughout the city Wednesday night, urging people to get off the streets and inside where it's warm.
But Rafael, who is also homeless, said some people won't come in no matter how cold it gets.
"I don't know if they'll survive, some of them don't," he said. "I know people who have died in past years. . . in the cold."
Trevisan said the shelter will work to try and prevent that outcome this week.
"There should be enough spaces for people, we don't want anyone out on the street," she said.
