Dan Roche On Gresh & Zo: It's What The Sox Do Going Forward That Matters
Gresh and Zo were joined by WBZ-TV's Dan Roche and discussed the Red Sox and the firing of manager Bobby Valentine. Instead of holding a normal press conference to give the media a chance to ask questions the Sox opted to meet with media members individually.
"Yeah it was a bizarre scenario yesterday I'll give you that, but at the same time I think it's going forward what they do that matters. That's the big thing that matters, what the baseball guys come up with as far as players, as far as a manager, as far as the coaching staff that has to be better than what they had here for the past 12 months."
Roche was at Fenway yesterday and had the opportunity to talk with Ben Cherington and Larry Lucchino. The guys were interested to know who Roche addressed questions to first.
"I think I started with Ben just to say what happened, why was this a disaster and then I turn and got Larry's opinion on that one. I think that's how I started it."
They went on to discuss how some feel that Lucchino is to blame for this managerial decision and Roche goes on to inform the guys how Bobby V came to get the job.
The guys also went on to talk about the communication issues the organization seemed to have where people just weren't talking to each other. Why are we suppose to believe that this issue has been rectified?
