Damon, Affleck, Krasinski To Host Warren Fundraiser
BOSTON (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren is getting the backing of a trio of Bay State friends turned Hollywood heartthrobs.
Former Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School pals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and Newton South High School graduate John Krasinski — the nice guy prankster from "The Office" — are hosting a fundraising event for Warren.
The event will be held at Bad Robot Productions, the production company of J.J. Abrams, a creator of television shows including "Alias," "Lost" and "Fringe" and big screen offerings such as "Star Trek."
For $5 a chance, Warren's campaign is also raffling off a pair of tickets to attend the fundraiser, including airfare and accommodations.
Warren is hoping to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown.
Brown's campaign has faulted Warren for relying too heavily on donations from Hollywood.
