Dale Sveum Takes Chicago Cubs Job
BOSTON (CBS) - Dale Sveum is set to become a major league manager, just not in Boston.
According to multiple reports, Sveum has accepted the job with the Chicago Cubs. He will be introduced by the team on Friday.
Once said to be the Red Sox top candidate for the position left vacant by Terry Francona, Sveum was offered the Chicago job Wednesday night just hours after he had his second interview with Boston.
