The retail giant aired its very first holiday ad on Monday promoting its layaway program.
Ad Age reports this is the earliest ever kickoff to holiday marketing.
Kmart's merry message is getting mixed reviews on its Facebook page.
One person writing, "This is not capitalism...its greed."
Another person writing, "I for one, really appreciate your commercial for Christmas layaway."
