DA: Former T Driver Faked Bus Shooting To Get Worker's Comp.
BOSTON (CBS) - A former MBTA bus driver is accused of faking an attempted shooting on board the MBTA bus she was driving, then collecting worker's compensation in its aftermath.
Fifty-three-year-old Nancy Parker of Burlington was arraigned Friday on an indictment over the alleged incident that happened way back on October 2, 2007.
"Parker initially claimed when she opened the door, a man stepped onto the bus, took out a gun and said 'I want your money,'" Prosecutor David McGowan explained on Friday. "He then stepped closer and said 'I want your wallet.' He then fired the gun, hitting her seat."
Prosecutors say McGowan claimed the gunman knocked her over and injured her.
