Curt Schilling's Medfield Home On The Market For $3.5 Million

MEDFIELD (CBS) - Curt Schilling's Medfield home is for sale for $3.5 million.

The 20-room, 26-acre home on Woodridge Road is being listed by Landmark Residential Properties.

Taxes for 2012 on the home are estimated at $65,000, according to online real estate Website Redfin.com

The property is being described as: "Extremely private 26 acre estate with every amenity for formal entertaining, relaxed family gatherings and sports enthusiasts."

The home has batting cages, a home theatre and a dog-grooming area.

Schilling purchased the home in 2004 from former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe.

This isn't the first time he has tried to sell his home. In 2008, the home went on the market for $8 million, eventually dropping to $4.5 million before it was taken off the market.

38 Studios filed for bankruptcy in June after laying off its nearly 400 workers. Schilling could lose around $50 million from his failed video game company, 38 Studios.

Schilling moved the company from Massachusetts to Rhode Island in 2010 in exchange for a taxpayer-guaranteed $75 million loan. Rhode Island taxpayers could spend as much as $100 million to pay off the 38 Studios loan.
