Curt Schilling Selling Items From Home In Estate Sale That Will 'Knock Your Sox Off'

BOSTON (CBS) -- Dozens of items from former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's Medfield home will be made available for purchase this weekend at an estate sale.

The former baseball superstar has been mired in financial troubles since the downfall of his video game company, 38 Studios, and he's now selling most of the items in his house in addition to the house itself.

The estate sale, which is being run by ConsignWorks, offers several pieces of furniture, dish sets, sofas, a baby grand piano, a microwave, lamps, glassware, accent pillows, rocking chairs, DVDs, books, bunk beds and artwork. Among the unique items are a "Bambini" backyard ice resurfacer, a Hummer golf cart, a baseball glove chair, a Studio 38 drafting table and Halloween costumes.

The sale doesn't include any items from Schilling's baseball career. Earlier this year, he sold his famous "bloody sock" from the 2004 postseason. It fetched more then $90,000 at an auction.

Schilling, 46, has said that he lost most of the money he earned from his playing days in the loss of his company. The house itself, which was once owned by former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe, has been for sale since 2008, dropping from an initial price of $8 million to its current listing at $2.9 million.
