Crowds Show Up To See Stanley Cup In Tewksbury
TEWKSBURY (CBS) - As many as a few thousand fans turned out Saturday for a chance to see The Stanley Cup at Tewksbury Country Club.
People started getting in line around 6 am for the event that started at 10 am.
Saturday was Bruins' equipment manager Keith Robinson's turn with the cup and he decided to bring it out and show it off.
Robinson is a graduate of Tewksbury High School.
Admission was $10 and the proceeds are being donated to help families of fallen soldiers.
From there, the cup was expected to make its way to Sawyer Park in Kensington, New Hampshire, where Robinson now lives with his family.
Robinson was asking people there to make a donation to the town of Kensington.
On Sunday, The Stanley Cup will make a stop at the Rochester Ice Arena in Rochester, New Hampshire, courtesy of Bruins' assistant trainer and massage therapist Derek Rupucci.
Donations there will go to St. Charles Children's Home.
