Crews Rescue Deer Stuck In The Mud Off Marshfield

MARSHFIELD (CBS) --- A deer found itself stuck in the mud Sunday afternoon.

Marshfield and Duxbury fire departments worked to rescue the deer near South River Street on the Marshfield-Duxbury town line.

The deer was reportedly about 200 feet offshore.

Once crews got the deer out, Duxbury Fire and Marshfield medical personnel gave the deer fluids.

There's no word on how the deer got stuck or its condition.

The deer is now in the care of the Animal Rescue League.
