Crews Prepare For Midweek Nor'Easter
HOPKINTON (CBS) - Here we go again. Another storm in the forecast has tree crews gearing up for more work, just as they're wrapping up from the last storm. "Very little sleep, a lot of work," says Joshua Brassard, owner of JB Sawmill and Landclearing. Mountains of debris piled up from Superstorm Sandy are scattered through his property.
He and his crew are concerned about trees that were weakened by the storm, but are still standing. "There's definitely a lot of trees that are compromised by these big storms, through old age, rot, and their location as far as consideration to other houses," says tree specialist Peter Lund.
They recommend property owners walk through their yards and look for trees that are leaning, have hanging limbs, or loose roots. Removing them now could spare some big headaches the morning after the next big storm.
