BRAINTREE (CBS) - A baby deer was found stranded on I-93 northbound as MassDOT crews opened up the HOV lane in Braintree on Monday morning.
Zipper Truck operators found the deer standing up at around 5:20 a.m. under the Furnace Brook Parkway near Exit 8.

Zipper truck driver Robbie Bodion picked up the fawn, put him in the air conditioned truck and gave him water while they opened the rest of the lane up I-93 toward Boston.
They gave the deer grass and water before it was turned over later in the morning to environmental authorities.
The deer was checked out by vets and released into the Blue Hills Reservation.
It's not known how long the deer was trapped.
Bodion says there is a good chance the fawn was stuck there for a couple days.
"We closed the lane Friday morning at 10 o'clock. So he's been there any time since after that. Then we had the real hot weekend… Just by touching him, I had gloves on, but you could feel the heat coming off of him," Bodion said.
Despite the delay, workers said they managed to open the HOV lane on time.
